I-Chem Wet Look sealer is a waterborne, high performance coating system developed to provide exceptional protection and colour enhancement of decorative concrete and masonry surfaces. Wet Look WB sealer is especially formulated for decorative concrete and other porous inorganic and mineralized surfaces such as concrete, and natural and synthetic masonry. I-Chem Wet Look will provide a glossy finish and enhance the colour of the concrete, giving it a "wet look".
Diluting is not required. Water based sealer should always be applied lightly. 2 thin coats are usually required. The more coats of sealer that are applied, the glossier it will become. Ideally the finished job should not see any rain for at least 24 hours. The surface can be damp when sealing, but not wet. There should be no free water (puddles) on the surface. Generally if you can see any glare, it is probably too wet, wait a little longer.
In its natural state, water based sealers appears milky white. Because of this, when applied to the surface, it will go on white. This makes it easier to see where and how much has been applied. As it dries, it will go clear. After it has turned clear, it will still be a little bit sticky. Wait for the first coat to lose the stickiness before walking on it to apply the second coat.
For re-sealing, pressure wash the old coat to clean, wait for it to dry, and apply a new coat over the top.
Coverage From 80-120m2 per 15lt (depending on the type and porosity of the surface)
Up to 27-40m2 per 5lt
Please note this coverage is based off one coat, two coats are recommended.
These coverage rates are approximate.
Usually the second coat will go further than the first.
