Sika Film - Evaporation Retardant - 10lt
- Features & Benefits
Sika Film is a moisture evaporation retardant. It is designed to be used on concrete surfaces to reduce evaporative water loss. It protects freshly placed concrete from the effects of excessive moisture loss in all drying conditions. Note that Sika Film is not a curing compound.
Features:
Reduces the incidence of plastic shrinkage cracking Enables concrete to remain workable during finishing Economical and easy to apply Fugitive blue dye
Ideal for:
Retarding evaporation during dry or windy conditions
APPLICATION
Surface Preparation:
Apply to fresh concrete.
Mixing:
Dilute at a ratio of 1 part Sika Film concentrate to 9 parts water. It is recommended that a dilution of 1:5 be used for very low humidity and windy conditions. To mix, shake Sika Film concentrate vigorously. Thoroughly mix one part Sika Film with 9 parts water by volume. Shake diluted material thoroughly.
Placement:
The diluted Sika Film can be applied with a fine mist sprayer as soon as the concrete is deposited. Each time the surface is broken during finishing operations, Sika Film should be reapplied.
Clean Up:
Clean up immediately after use with water.
Storage:
Stored between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius in unopened original containers, protected from direct sunlight and frost, shelf life is at least one year.
Yield:
When diluted in a 1:9 ratio, one litre of Sika Film will yield 10 Litres and cover an area from 40 - 100 square metres depending on surface profile and texture.
